A Quick Rundown of Season 3 Episode 19 Of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Synopsis for The Next Episode Revealed!

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is an American TV series that has been created based on the Marvel Comics organization- S.H.I.E.L.D. The show is produced by ABC Studios, Mutant Enemy Productions and Marvel Television. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is currently in its third season and the 19th episode of the season was just aired in the recent past.

Episode 19 of season 3 was titled Failed Mission and this episode too continues to keep the focus on Phil Coulson and his team’s battle against Hive and his followers. They also keep on trying to rescue Daisy who has been brainwashed by him. The episode also introduced an alien race called the Kree to fans.

Brett Dalton is portraying the character of Hive in the show and episode 19 sheds some light on his origin. Apparently, is an ancient Mayan who while trying to escape form the Kree Reapers were caught by them and experimented on. This particular Terrigenesis experiment results in the creation of Hive.

Chloe Bennet’s Daisy Johnson, being an inhuman, was easily brainwashed by the Hive and she has been turned against her former friends and team mates in S.H.I.E.L.D. It was seen in episode 18 that the Hive has managed to acquire an entire town to run experiments on human beings. He has been trying to create an army of the Inhumans using which, he will take over the world.

Hive and his followers have also gotten hold of Dr. Holden Radcliffe, played by John Hannah and he will be the one who will be carrying on the experiment. The experiment was dubbed as a “chemical cocktail” by Dr. Radcliffe and he reveals that it will be turning any normal human being into an inhuman.

It was previously seen that Elizabeth Henstride’s Simmons has been trying to develop a cure which will rid the Inhumans of their powers and make them normal. In this episode, she continues her work on the antitoxin and this time around she is aided by her best friend and now also love interest- Fitz, played by Ian De Caestecker.

Lincoln, who is played by Luke Mitchell asks the duo to test their drug on him. However, Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson steps in and declares that it is a bad idea. He forbids Lincoln from taking the antitoxin and states that might kill him.

Meanwhile, Mack and May, played by Henry Simmons and Ming-Na Wen get together a team of SHEILD agents who will be attacking the town which Hive and his followers have taken control of.

The team spearheaded by Mack and May arrive in the town only to find out that aKree artifact has been assembled. The artifact summons an outer orbit Kree object which crash lands into a building in the town. This is where the Kree Reapers are introduced as the object that crash landed in the building is carrying a number Kree Reapers.

The blue skinned Kree Reapers are soon seen coming out from the ball of explosion and the first thing that they do is kill Alisha, who too was under the influence of Hive.

Daisy was also seen taking on a Kree Reaper whose spine was broken by the former by making use of her powers. Dr. Radcliffe was seen acquiring the blood of the Reaper for experimental purposes. However, Mack appears and stops the blood draining process by obliterating the Kree with a splinter bomb.

The Hive himself was seen taking on a Kree and he defeats it by using his powers. At that moment May and a team of S.H.I.E.L.D agents fire multiple shots at the Hive. They even hit him with a grenade launcher but it makes little impact and the wounds inflicted by the shots are quickly regenerated.
