A Knight of Seven Kingdoms Revealed Instead Of Winds of Winter, Finn Jones Talks about How the Series Might End!

George R.R Martin, the author of Game of Thrones, released a new book. Sadly, this is not the highly-awaited Winds of Winter, which most fans expected. Instead, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, written by GRRM was released on Tuesday. It came with three prequels, “The Hedge Knight,” “The Sworn Sword,” and “The Mystery Knight” and these are added to the author’s present series, ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’.

According to CNET, this collection will tell us tales from the times when the Targaryens still held the Iron Throne. According to Martin, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a Dunk and Egg novella. It depicts the stories of Ser Duncan the Tall, also known as Dunk and Egg, his young squire, who later became King Aegon V Targaryen.

These episodes take place around a century before the Ice and Fire series. The English version of this collection features artwork from Illustrator Gary Gianni and collection has already been released in several languages.

On his Live Journal, Martin said that Gianni loved the stories of the collection so that he ended up making illustrations for virtually every page. There are more than 160 illustrations in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. GRRM declared that this is going to be an amazing book and he is delighted to have his name on it besides that of Gianni.

CNET further detailed that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is presently available in hardcover for $18 and the Kindle Edition $14.99. In the meantime, fans of Game of Thrones are hoping that Martin will release Winds of Winter before Game of Thrones season six premiers on HBO on April 2016.

The upcoming season of Game of Thrones is based on the fourth book of The Song of Ice and Fire series. Previously, the author refused to provide any specific release date for this book and Martin further said that HBO could release the final episode of GOT season 6 even before the book is available on shelves.

According to Amazon, A Knight of Seven Kingdomstakes placearound a century before Game of Thrones and it further compiles the first three official prequel novellas and adds them to the ongoing masterwork by George R.R Martin.

These adventures have never been collected before and they talk about an age when the Targaryens still hold the Iron Throne and at the same time, the memory of the last dragon has not gone away from living consciousness. Dunk and Egg’s story was a long before that of Tyrion Lannister and Podrick Payne.

Ser Duncan was a young, naïve but a really courageous hedge Knight and he towered over his rivals with his height if not experience.  Meanwhile, Egg is his diminutive squire whose real name is hidden from all that he and Dunk encounter. Improbable heroes like this cannot be found in the entirety of Westeros and great destinies lie ahead of these two and so do powerful foes, royal intrigue and outrageous exploits.

Actor Finn Jones from Game of Thrones has an interesting theory regarding how George R.R Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series will end. The theories involving the Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring were explained by Jones at the New York Comic Con 2015. It also featured Keisha Castle-Hughes and Natalie Dormer.

In the Game of Thrones series, Jones portrays Loras Tyrell and he told the audience on the panel that he doesn’t think that anyone will be sitting on the Iron Throne by the end of the saga. According to Jones, the Iron Throne will serve another purpose in the grand story and working of The Song of Ice and Fire series.

  1. I seriously hate this money grabbing POS. He has zero regard for his series, only for his image. I dislike all of those who enable him to be a lazy POS, too. He has spent the past 12 years proving that to his readers.
