Rumors regarding Square Enix’s next Kingdom Hearts game that is Kingdom Hearts 3 are circulating around the internet for a considerable amount of time now. Some previous rumors claimed that Square Enix would release the game within the ongoing year and that release would take place at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 event which is scheduled to be held in June.

However, the latest reports pertaining to the game suggest that the game will not hit the market within 2016. Instead, it is being rumored that the game will finally see the light of the day in April 2017.

Some rumors claim that Kingdom Hearts 3 is not going to be the next Kingdom Hearts game that will be released by Square Enix. Apparently, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 will hit the market before Kingdom Hearts 3 makes its long-awaited debut.

The revelation that the game will not release within the ongoing year has caused a lot of disappointment among fans. That being said, they do have something to look forward to within the ongoing year that is related to the game.

It has come to light that Square Enix is currently busy with the development of a trailer for the upcoming game. This trailer will reportedly make its debut at the oncoming E3 2016 event in June. The E3 2016 will begin on June 14 and it will continue till June 16. It will be held in Los Angeles, California.

Hironori Okayama, the producer of the game had previously stated that the developers would come forward with some concrete details related to the game at this year’s E3. It should be mentioned here that the very first trailer for the game was revealed at the E3 of the previous year. A secret trailer was also shown at the D23 Expo which too was held in the previous year.

In the previous year, it was stated by the Square Enix that the company will come forward with a release date for the game in 2016. However, as can be seen, the company is yet to shed light on that matter.

In that context, it can be assumed that Square Enix might choose the E3 2016 as the platform to finally make an announcement about the release date of the game. It was also reported that the characters that will be featured in the game will be shown in the trailer which will make its debut at E3 2016.

Just in the previous month, Quinton Flynn, the voice behind the character of Axel revealed on social media that he has not yet been called up by the developers for the voice recording process. This led fans into assuming that the developers are delaying the game further due to some reasons.

That being said, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the game had previously stated that the developers have already fixed an internal release window for the game. He added that everything is on schedule and the developers are putting in their best efforts to meet the internal release window that has been set for the game.

Steve Burton the voice behind Cloud Strife and Bill Farmer who lends his voice to Pete and Goofy have both given confirmation that they have been called up by the developers for the voice recording process for the characters.

As far as the story of the game is concerned, Kingdom Hearts 3 will see Sora and his friends go up against the villainous Xehanort. The Organization XIII that is headed by Xehanort will also come into play in the story.

Apparently, the game will bring an end to the Darkseeker Saga. It will be the final chapter in the said story. The story of the game will pick up right where it was left off in its predecessor Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
