4 DLC Packs Have Been Included in WWE 2K17 Season Pass, Pre-Order Details for Collector’s Edition Released!

Thanks to an Xbox Store listing, information on WWE 2K17 Season Pass has been revealed. We have no idea about the specifics but a good idea about what to expect. The listing reported that the DLC would include four packs, and they will all be roster expansions.

It is highly likely that the first DLC pack to be released will be the NXT Superstars DLC releasing with the NXT WWE 2K17 Edition. According to the listing, the DLC for Season Pass will be released on 31st March 2017.

It is interesting to note that the Season Pass will not include any MyPlayer Kick Start. If you want that and the Season Pass together, the WWE 2K17 Digital Deluxe variant will include both of them. We don’t want the final roster for WWE 2K17 so it is safe to speculate the wrestlers that will be included in the upcoming game.

If the roster doesn’t include the big-name guys like Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, they could get added through the DLC. They can also be fast-tracked into the main game roster. The game will release on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 on 11th October. It will also be released on PC a few months later.

On Thursday, 14th July, WWE 2K17 NXT Collector’s Edition was released for pre-order. However, there are only 50000 copies available. It will be released on 11th October, the same day as the standard version. At the same time, the NXT Edition will include a list of goodies and will be released at a price of 99.99 dollars.

It is a standard amount for most collector editions released in the world of video games. People who are hardcore collectors and wrestling fans will love the great amount of content available. The value will only be raised by 50,000 Nakamura lithographs available.

Nakamura is NXT’s hottest star, and it was wise for 2K to take advantage of his popularity. He is 36 years old, and it is only a matter of time before he is introduced in WWE Smackdown and Raw. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him getting chosen for the brand draft of Smackdown Live’s first episode on 19th July. If you are a hardcore gamer, the deal is enough for you to shell out forty more dollars.

The extra NXT characters could be released through a Season Pass or a one-off purchase. It will include a head start provided by your MyCareer character. If you are one of those gamers who prefer to make your way to the Elite ratings, it won’t be a lot of incentive for you to grab the collector’s edition.

Meanwhile, 2K finally included WWE 2K16 game on PC after a long campaign by the fans. It took place in March this year, five months after the initial release of the game. The roster is always a point of discussion before a WWE 2K game is released.

It was criticized two years ago for being too lean, but 2K decided to compensate by adding more professional wrestlers in WWE 2K16. There were 120 in total, more than any other title in the history of this franchise.

With 2K17, one can imagine that the publisher will find a way to top that. However, till now, only a few names have been announced.

The game’s pre-order bonus includes two Bill Goldberg versions while Sasha Banks, Brock Lesnar, The Ultimate Warrior and John Cena are the only Superstars from WWE that were confirmed for the main release. 2K announced that the WWE NXT Collector’s Edition would retail for 99.99 dollars. It will add Nia Jax, Apollo Crews, and Shinsuke Nakamura as playable characters.
