To Rolling Stone, Bay said, I’m doing Transformers … 5, is it? I’ve taken on a lot of work. … It’s fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see.” He further added, “But this is the last one. I have to pass the reins to someone else. J.J. [Abrams] told me, ‘You’re the only guy that could do this.’ But it’s time to move on. One more.”

It was earlier revealed by Parent Herald that Hasbro has confirmed more sequels for the Transformers series. The team is, in fact plotting to release the 6th, 7th and 8th installment as well. However, with Bay directing the franchise, people are wondering who will direct the next movie and whether it will be as successful as the ones before.
